Peter founded McKernan Motion Picture Aviation in 1985 to fulfill his passion for flying, but what sets him apart is his vision as a filmmaker. A wide range of aviation experiences have made Peter one of the most sought after pilots in the motion picture industry. Peter’s talent has created some of the most spectacular aerial footage seen in feature films, episodic television and commercials today.

As a member of the Director's Guild of America, Screen Actor’s Guild, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the Motion Picture Pilot's Association, Peter has provided services as a 2nd Unit Director, Aerial Coordinator, Stunt Coordinator and Technical Advisor for every major studio and countless commercial and independent production companies.  With a worldwide network of aviation contacts, Peter has extensive domestic and international experience working with the Department of Defense and all branches of the armed services.
