Peter McKernan, Jr.
Peter McKernan has been an active member as an Aerial Coordinator since his days on “Airwolf” in 1984. A New York native at heart, he moved to California where he began his aviation career as a fixed wing pilot. He quickly transitioned to helicopters and trained for years under his father, Peter Sr., before successfully starting McKernan Motion Picture Aviation on his own. The talent and professionalism Peter has brought with MMPA is best represented through his work. He is responsible for many of the most impressive and memorable stunt sequences, as seen in “Tour of Duty,” “Con Air” and “Collateral.” Even more remarkable, a great deal of his work has gone uncredited as a Coordinator, Stuntman and Director on a multitude of commercials.
Patrick McKernan
Patrick McKernan, born and raised in Los Angeles, is third in a generation of aerial coordinators. Before his pilot career began, he worked as ground support for his father on shows such as “Trauma,” “Somewhere,” and numerous car commercials. After college, he worked as a flight instructor and charter pilot out of Van Nuys. He later trained with NBC and KTLA news chopper pilots, successfully passing the Eurosafety certification course. Patrick later added drone operations to his already extensive resume, and was at the forefront of introducing the Aerigon drone from Sweden to the American market.
